Cristiano Ronaldo Has Set New Shockingly Bad Personal Record In The Champions League

Cristiano Ronaldo has settled in well at Juventus since his summer move from Real Madrid.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has made 15 appearances for the Old Lady and scored 10 times in his maiden season so far.

While the 33-year-old Portuguese star has opened his account strong in Italy, he has also set a shocking personal record in the Champions League when it comes to scoring.

After all, the former Manchester United star is the top scorer in Europe’s premier competition.

Ronaldo has only one goal to his name in the Champions League group stage, which is his worst performance to date.

During the 2016-17 season, the Juventus star only scored on two occasions. His best return in the group stage came in the 2015-16 season, with him scoring 11 times for Los Blancos.

In September, a teary-eyed Ronaldo picked up his first red card in the Champions League against Valencia. It was a questionable red card for some Juve fans, leaving a former referee to explain why he had been sent off.

Juventus have progressed to the next stage of the Champions League, which means there is always time for Ronaldo to find his form in the competition.

How many times will Ronaldo score in the Champions League this season?

Let us know in the comments.
